Accommodation
For students requiring accommodation while studying at DLD, the college has secured state of the art facilities at Urbanest in Hoxton, which benefits from supervision by a team of college house-parents.

Accommodation Options
Students under the age of 18 when they begin studying at DLD College can choose from:
Host Family (half board - breakfast & evening meal)
College Boarding Option - Urbanest at Hoxton, London (breakfast
provided and cooking facilities in each room)
Students over 18 can choose one of the above options or they can arrange their own accommodation.
Urbanest at Hoxton was totally refurbished in 2009 and provides students with modern and secure first class accommodation. The accommodation is only a 30 minute door to door journey from DLD College by bus or the underground.
Facilities and services at Urban Nest include:
- A member of College staff (house parent) living on the same floor
- Breakfast provided
- Single studio flat
- Basic food supply for the first month
- Cookery classes on arrival
- Kitchen
- En-suite bathroom
- Laundry
- 24 hours a day/7 days a week support team in the building
- WIFI and IP telephone
- Flat screen TV in all rooms
- Contents Insurance
- Cleaning services (additional charge payable)
- Swipe card security
Urban Nest provides the ideal environment in which students can prepare for life at university whilst also offering parents the reassurance of a houseparent living on site. House parents will ensure that students eat an evening meal. During the first four weeks of a student's stay, his or her kitchen cupboard will be supplied with provisions free of charge. House parents will be there to help students prepare meals but the objective is for students to begin to learn to be self-sufficient as they will have to be at university. The flexible eating arrangements at Urban Nest ensure that student's are able to eat food that they like.
All rooms have internet access and all utility costs are included.

Students joining the College who wish to live at Urbanest Hoxton must make their booking through the College. Details of all other accommodation options can be found in the information booklet below.
Host family accommodation
Host family homes are within a maximum travel time of 60 minutes from DLD College by bus or underground journey. DLD College ensures that host families are carefully selected to provide friendly, safe and comfortable environments in which students are able both to relax and study effectively. Each student has a single or a twin study-bedroom. Bathroom facilities are usually shared. Breakfast and an evening meal are taken with the host family. Students have their own set of keys.
